I went to the University of Oklahoma where I met my husband Rick. We both graduated in 1969, with me with getting a degree in English and Rick earning his in journalism. Rick went into the army shortly after we were married, so our first homes were Ft Benning followed by Ft Knox.
After the service, we lived in Atlanta, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Ohio, and finally Wisconsin. All the moves were due to Rick's jobs. We have lived in Appleton for over 30 years so we really think of this as home. I mainly stayed home raising our children. Once they were out on their own, I worked a variety of part time jobs as well as doing a lot of volunteer work.
We have three grand children and spend time visiting them as well as our adult kids. They are scattered around the country ( San Diego, Minneapolis, and Stoddard, NH). We also take cruises in the winter and go to Florida to escape the cold weather. Life is good!

School Story

My two years at Northfield were wonderful ones. I have so many happy memories of the friendships I formed while living in Hillside Cottage followed by East Hall. I loved all the
traditions from daily chapel, milk station, singing in Christmas Vespers and Sacred Concert, to Mountain Day, Winter Carnival, and all the fun of dorm life. I never minded wearing sturdies or the required 7 hours of "dummy" each week. I think my Northfield education and experiences have impacted my life more than anything else.
I am so glad I got to stay on the Northfield campus for our 40th reunion. It was a nice way to say goodbye to that beautiful campus.
